oh dear! I remember crossing the black forest once - after being in the rain uphill all day. I came to the pass, and the rain stopped and the last sunlight of the day was also the first. I screamed for several minutes, completely exhilarated, laughing and crying at the same time, and enjoying the new experience of screaming :). it had been 10 hours of trodding a steep uphill, partly walking and partly riding, in the rain. yay for you!

Nice set up!
I bet that took some major planning, compared to throwing things in a trunk and back seats and heading down the road.
